Bento’s Mobile App - General FAQ

Q: Where can I download the Bento mobile app?

 A:  The Bento mobile app was launched on August 15, 2016 and can be downloaded in both the Google Play store (Android) and the Apple App store (iOS). 

Q: Who can use the Bento mobile app?

 A:  Existing Bento customers are eligible to use the Bento mobile app, as it pairs with your active Bento account.  Business owners and employees who are invited by their business owner or admin can use the Bento mobile app.

 Q: What features are available in the Bento mobile app?

 A: The Bento mobile app was created from feedback from customers who wanted to give their employees a way to check their available balance without having to interrupt their own and their business owner’s productivity.  The Bento mobile app was created to give employees access to the information they need most, in real-time from the field, such as their available balance and any spending control settings.  While we will continue to add additional features, currently all controls must be managed by the business owner from our desktop app via a web browser.

 Q: What is the process for getting up and running with Bento's mobile app?

 A: Business owners will need to:

  1. Login to Bento, then go to the "People and Cards" page and click the "Bento Mobile for Your Employees" button (don't worry, you can't miss it!),
  2. Select the employees you want to grant mobile access to, and add their company email address if it isn't already listed in Bento,
  3. Your employees will receive an invitation email with links to download the Bento mobile app. Tell them to open the Bento app and click "Register a new account" at the bottom of the initial screen, then enter the email address that was added to Bento above. They will then receive an email with a link to set a new password; this confirms their email address for security. Once they click on the "Set password" link, they will be redirected back to the mobile app. That's it!

 Q: What devices will run the Bento mobile app?

 A: The Bento mobile app was designed for Android smartphones and Apple smartphones.  You may install it on tablet devices, however it is not optimized for usage on a tablet so this may not provide the best user experience.
